Tribute & Message From The Family

Michael Anthony Love was born March 4, 1966 to Dorothy and Willie Perry Love, in Dallas Texas. He was the youngest and only son of three children born to this union. Michael had an infectious smile that would light up a room anytime he entered. He graduated from Skyline High School where he played football and ran track. Michael attended Prairie View A & M University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. While matriculating at the university, Michael pledged the Fall of 1986 and became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Rho Theta Chapter. The name of his Pledge Class was "Twenty". Michael was a dedicated and loyal member of Omega Psi Phi at the college and later in Omicron Gamma Gamma Graduate Chapter. His career included working for an architectural firm, Dallas Independent School District and most recently as an instructor at ITT. His favorite hobbies were golfing and boating. Michael also enjoyed being with his family and was a devout member of Friendship West Baptist Church. Michael's Father, Willie Perry Love, preceded him in death. He leaves to celebrate his memory:

Loving Mother: Dorothy Love
Sisters: Cheri McCoo and Terry Gray (Odell)
Nieces: Porcia, Courtney and Taylor Love
Great-Nephews: Cameron and Christian Love
Aunts: Novella Collins, Antoinette Mitchell-Morgan and Jacquline Mitchell Conner
Great Aunt: Ella Yarborough
Jerome Sheffield, Bryon Summerfield, Tony Pettis, Gary Johnson, Kevin Paul, Richard Johnson and Craig Martin were a constant presence in Michael's life. Over the years, their friendships grew and flourished until they were as close as brothers.

I meet Michael approx. 3 years ago. He had a way of calling me sister-in-law that made Roger (Towers) mad and me smile at the same time. Michael was a true friend to Roger and has been a true friend to me in the past 8 months. My heart is heavy and I pray that the family finds comfort in knowing he was truely loved and will never be forgotten.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Candle

Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus said to him I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one come the Father except through Me. Amen.

Miss you Mike...

These are the days we dread when our lives have been touched by someone good and positive in this world. Skyline was where friendships gave birth to familyhood. Love will be missed and I can't imagine a day not running into him without prank to play on me. Travel well my brother. May God hold you in his arms and his hand on your family as they as WE heal from your calling. ONE LOVE
