Cecil LeGene Kavanaugh, 87, of Dallas, Texas passed away on May, 18 2017 peacefully at his home and passed into the loving arms of his Savior. His service will be held at Eastridge Baptist Church on Monday, May 22, at 11:00 with visitation at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. He was born in Dallas, Texas on September 14, 1929. He is preceded in death by his parents. He was born in Dallas, Texas on September 14, 1929. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Margaret Golden Kavanaugh, his brother, Forrest Kavanaugh, and his wife, Rena, his sister, Peggy Nichols, his son, Keith Kavanaugh and his wife, Helen, his daughter, Kay Wyner, and her husband, J.D. Wyner, his grandchildren, James David Wyner, Jonathan Kavanaugh and his wife Rachel, Danielle Everitt and her husband Scott, and Jessica Wyner and her fiancé Luke Newman, and great grandchildren, Grayson Everitt, Gunner Everitt, and Morgan Wyner. He served in the US Navy Reserves. He worked for Sears for forty-three years. He was a lifelong member of his church as well as a member of the Gideons.
